Happy New Year from Ecommerce Junkie!!! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and you’re rested and relaxed after a few days off! We’re going to start a new series of blogs for 2010 called “The Perfect Outfit”. What’s the idea behind this, you ask? Well, from time to time, we’re going to put together outfit ideas for various scenarios you might come across in the future, for both men and women. Not only will our product ideas look great, but they’ll be affordable too. Once it’s done, you’ll have an outfit from top to bottom and links to those exactly products so you can purchase them yourself.
So today, for the first ever installment of The Perfect Outfit, we’re starting with ideas for a guy’s night out. Now guys, we know you want to look your best, but a night out with the boys can often be hectic and (depending on your friends) quite crazy, so a degree of comfort is important too. Let’s get started!
Let’s assume your night out is pretty casual. Whether you’re playing cards at home or hitting up a bar, start the outfit off with a pair of low-rise, boot-cut jeans. Here are a bunch of options for under $40, including the always-popular Levi’s, all of which canbe paired with other wardrobe items for a fresh look.
Now, you’ve got your boot-cut jeans. What about the boots? Maybe you already have a pair that will work well but if not, we strongly recommend Lugz. Lugz offers a great assortment of boots that complete any look and all of these will work with your current outfit construction while costing you less than $50!
The bottom is covered, so let’s head up to the top. Since it’s still winter, and you need to keep warm, we’re going to go with the reliable sweater/blazer combo to round out this outfit. Start with a t-shirt of your choosing, untucked and loose. Then you can add one of these cotton crewneck sweaters. The Geoffrey Beane crewnecks look great, come in a wide variety of colors and styles, and will only set you back about $20.
Finish off the look with a blazer. Now you may think that this will be the priciest part of your outfit, but it doesn’t have to be. We found all of these blazers that look amazing for less than $80. Some of these blazers are as low as $33!
Now, here’s the approximate average cost per item breakdown of this entire outfit, based on the searches we pulled.
Boots: $35
Blazer: $65
Sweater: $20
Jeans: $27
That’s about $147 total (plus shipping) for a fantastic guy’s night out ensemble this winter. And everything we listed here can obviously be used in other outfits and wardrobes throughout the year. Not too bad, right?
